It took approximately seven months to bring all those voices together and transform them into the finished Dragon Codex.

So now we begin the next chapter.

Maybe you named a Dragon but never had the space to tell us its full story.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have written a book before?
No. You do not need previous publishing experience.
Can Volume 1 authors take part again?
Absolutely. You can explore another Dragon type you work with or expand upon a Dragon, subject, experience or teaching that you mentioned only briefly in Volume 1.
Can I simply reuse my Volume 1 chapter?
No. Volume 2 is about continuing and expanding the Dragon Codex. Returning authors should bring new material or substantially expand an area that was only touched upon previously.
Is there a word limit for my chapter?
Yes. Each author chapter is limited to a maximum of 5,000 words to keep The Dragon Codex Volume 2 to a sensible and manageable size.
Do I retain copyright in my chapter?
Yes. You retain copyright in your original contribution while granting the necessary publishing and promotional rights for your chapter to appear within The Dragon Codex Volume 2.
Can I sell copies myself?
Yes. Authors will be able to purchase authorised physical copies through the agreed author arrangement and resell those copies directly. You keep the profit from the copies you personally purchase and resell.
Will you teach me how Amazon publishing works?
Yes. I will share the Amazon KDP publishing process with participating authors so that those who have never published before can understand how it works and potentially use that knowledge for their own future books.
How long will Volume 2 take?
We are working around an approximate seven month creation period, based upon the experience of bringing Volume 1 together. Publishing projects can change as they develop, so exact publication dates will be confirmed as the project progresses.
Why is the payment plan £156.99?
The £999 author contribution can be paid in full. The seven month payment option includes a 10% payment plan fee and is charged as seven monthly payments of £156.99.
The first Codex contained 31 voices.
But the Dragon story is far from finished.
There are more Dragons to meet, more experiences to explore and more wisdom waiting to be shared.
The next chapter of The Dragon Codex has not yet been written.
