The Dragon Codex
An Index of Dragon Types, Their Gifts, and the Ways We Work with Them
What is this?
A collaborative reference book for the Dragon community called The Dragon Codex. Each contributing author will write one main chapter representing a primary Dragon Type, plus optional brief mini sections for any additional dragon types they work with.
The key feature is structure. Dragon Type labels every contribution, so you can quickly find everything on Water Dragons, Rainbow Dragons, Earth Dragons, Fire Dragons, Crystal Dragons, and many more.
Why are we creating it?
This will be a practical and mystical reference book people can return to again and again. Instead of scattered information across videos, posts, and talks, we will have one organised place to learn the nature, gifts, healing qualities, practices, and lived experiences of each dragon type, written by the practitioners who actually work with them.
What formats can I buy the book in?
The initial version is a colourful PDF; we will then be offering the book ( via the Amazon bookstore ) as an eBook, 6"x9" Paperback (B&W), 6"x9" Paperback (Colour), 6"x9" Hardcover (Colour), A4: 8.27″ × 11.69″ Hardcover (Colour) and then a very Special Edition A4: 8.27″ × 11.69″ Premium Hardcover (Colour) of just one hundred books to start with; this will be a hardcover book printed on premium paper locally in Devon ( Exeter ) England, United Kingdom and will contain a numbered certificate of authenticity. The plan is to release the book as soon as possible after the July 2026 Dragon Thunder Summit.
A Living Collection of Dragon Wisdom
Some books are written by one author. This one is different. The Dragon Codex brings together the voices of more than thirty Dragon practitioners from around the world, each sharing their own genuine relationship with the Dragon Realms.
Every chapter comes from personal experience. Not theory. Not copied teachings. Not someone else's interpretation.
Each contributor has been invited because Dragons are an important part of their own spiritual path. They write in their own words, share their own experiences and describe the Dragon types they know best. The result is something we never expected when this project first began.
A remarkable collection of Dragon wisdom that spans many traditions, many perspectives and many different ways of working with these extraordinary beings.
No two chapters are quite the same. That is exactly as it should be.
Created by the Dragon community
The Dragon Codex was never intended to become "the final word" on Dragons.
It is a snapshot of the Dragon community today. A collection of voices. A library of experiences. An invitation to discover which Dragon lineages resonate most deeply with you. Some chapters are practical. Some are deeply mystical. Some include healing exercises. Others tell remarkable personal stories.
Together they create a book that reflects the diversity of the Dragon realms themselves.
You may not agree with every chapter
And that's perfectly okay.
Each author shares their own lived experience. Some Dragons appear in several chapters through different perspectives.
Some Dragon types may be completely new to you. Rather than seeing this as a contradiction, we invite you to see it as an exploration.
Just as no two people experience nature in exactly the same way, no two people experience Dragons in exactly the same way either.
We believe that diversity makes the Codex richer.
Why we created The Dragon Codex
Again and again we noticed people asking the same question.
"Where can I learn about the different Dragon types?"
There wasn't one place. Wonderful books existed, but each understandably reflected one author's journey.
We wondered what might happen if Dragon practitioners came together and each contributed the Dragons they knew best.
That simple idea became The Dragon Codex.
Our hope
We hope this becomes a book you return to often.
Perhaps you'll read it cover to cover.
Perhaps you'll open it at random and discover the Dragon that wishes to work with you today.
Perhaps one chapter will change the way you see Dragons forever.
However you use it, we hope it inspires your own relationship with these magnificent beings.
Because ultimately, the greatest Dragon teacher you will ever meet is not found inside this book.
